Silverdale School

Overview:

Silverdale School was part of the nationwide BSF Programme (which aims to see every secondary school in England rebuilt) and work on the new building at Silverdale was completed in January 2009 bringing state-of-the-art sports facilities to the local area as well as fantastic academic facilities for the students.
The purpose built sports hall is set up for a range of sports with appropriate line markings set for badminton, 5-a-side football, netball, volleyball, basketball and cricket. The sports hall is also the perfect venue for exercise classes and is already been used for Zumba, yoga, dance and martial arts. The school is also set up for table tennis with a number of local clubs using the facilities.
Outside, the all-weather pitch us perfect for use throughout the year for a range of sports including 11-a-side football, 5-a-side football and hockey. In the summer months, the new sports field is also used for athletics, rounders and can also be set up for rugby and football making this a great facility no matter what sport you are interested in playing.
